The Role

• Provide a specialised, comprehensive, evidence-based clinical assessment, treatment and assertive case
  management service to clients, including their families/carers, who have issues with alcohol and/or other
  drugs and support referral and liaison with relevant service providers.
• Undertake clinical documentation in line with organisational and professional requirements, including
  maintaining effective record keeping on clients and produce clear, well presented treatment reports to the
  ADS Team Leader (North West) as required.
• Actively support, contribute to and participate in ongoing quality assurance programs, including approved
  research, incident reporting and evaluation, internal audits, and policy and procedure review, as well as the
  development, implementation and evaluation of specialised alcohol and other drug psychosocial treatment
  programs.
• Consult with professionals and other agencies on the management of clients, and their families/carers,
  affected by alcohol and or other drugs to optimise service effectiveness.

Details of Appointment

Fixed term part time, day worker position, working 60.8 hours per fortnight, commencing as soon as possible for a period of six months.

Allied Health Professional Level 3 

Salary

$117,272 - $126,182 per annum (pro rata) + 12% superannuation + access to salary packaging

• Please note that access to salaries beyond $123,487 is subject to qualifications and/or application to the personal upgrade scheme 
• Salary range is in accordance with Allied Health Professionals Public Sector Unions Wages Agreement No. 2 of 2025

Eligibility

Successful applicants will be required to meet the essential criteria:

• Tertiary qualification/program of study approved by the Occupational Board of Australia and Registered with the Occupational Therapy Board of Australia; or
• Tertiary qualification/program of study approved by the Psychology Board of Australia and Registered with the Psychology Board of Australia; or
• Tertiary qualification/program of study approved by the Australian Association of Social Workers (AASW) and is a full member of AASW or is eligible for membership with the AASW 

Applicants should note the following criteria are desirable

• Holds, or is working towards, a relevant tertiary qualification in the Alcohol and Other Drugs field
• Current Driver’s Licence 

Under particular circumstances employees may be required to undertake a new conviction check.
