The Role
The Voluntary Assisted Dying (VAD) Commission is an independent monitoring and review body established by the End-of-Life Choices (Voluntary Assisted Dying) Act 2021.
The Compliance, Education and Executive Support Officer is responsible, both individually and as a member of a team, for assisting the VAD Commission in the performance of its statutory functions under the End-of-Life Choices (Voluntary Assisted Dying) Act 2021 including by conducting compliance activities and communicating with registered health practitioners and others about the End-of-Life Choices (Voluntary Assisted Dying) Act 2021.

Details of Appointment
Fixed term, day worker position, working 76 hours per fortnight, commencing as soon as possible for 6 months.
Please note that hours may be negotiated with the successful applicant
Classification: General Stream Band 5
Salary: $102,027 - $106,985 per annum (pro rata) + 12% superannuation + access to salary packaging
- Salary range is in accordance with Public Sector Unions Wages Agreement 2025

Eligibility
Applicants should note the following criteria are desirable:
- Tertiary qualifications in law, compliance, regulation, or other relevant discipline, coupled with qualifications or experience in the design and delivery of education and training packages would be highly regarded.
Position Features: While the role is office based, some intra-and interstate travel may be required. Some after-hours and weekend work may also be required from time to time.
Under particular circumstances employees may be required to undertake a new conviction check.
