The Role

• Provide discipline specific clinical expertise, supportive advice and clinical care across the broader community including in-reach into the ED as required, based on best practice principles and legal and professional requirements, using specialist assessment and screening tools to deliver improved outcomes for people presenting with mental health concerns and/or addiction-related comorbidities.
• Provide treatment recommendations and specialist support to the multidisciplinary team, other health professionals and community managed organisations as required and assist with clinical decision making and the planning, implementation and evaluation of care to facilitate a person-centred and recovery-oriented approach.
• Provide evidence-based, trauma informed assessment, specialist therapies and treatment interventions for consumers with major and complex mental health problems, including the development and implementation of these within the consumer’s home and in collaboration with the multidisciplinary team.

Details of Appointment

Fixed term full time, shift worker position, working 76 hours per fortnight, commencing from 24 August 2026 until 25 January 2027.

Classification - Allied Health Professional Level 3

Salary

$117,272 - $126,182 per annum + 12% superannuation + access to salary packaging

• Please note that access to salaries beyond $123,487 is subject to qualifications and/or application to the personal upgrade scheme
• Salary range is in accordance with Allied Health Professionals Public Sector Unions Wages Agreement No. 2 of 2025

Eligibility

Successful applicants will be required to meet the essential criteria:

• Tertiary qualification/program of study approved by the Occupational Board of Australia and Registered with the Occupational Therapy Board of Australia; or
• Tertiary qualification/program of study approved by the Psychology Board of Australia and Registered with the Psychology Board of Australia; or
• Tertiary qualification/program of study approved by the Australian Association of Social Workers (AASW) and is a full member of AASW or is eligible for membership with the AASW
• Current Driver’s Licence

Applicants should note the following criteria are desirable:

• Holds, or is working towards, relevant tertiary qualifications
• Five or more years’ postgraduate clinical experience

Under particular circumstances employees may be required to undertake a new conviction check.
