The Role
The Associate Nurse Unit Manager supports the Nurse Unit Manager in the day-to-day leadership and coordination of the Oncology Ward. Working as part of a multidisciplinary team, the ANUM helps ensure safe, high-quality patient care, supports staff, and contributes to efficient ward operations. This role provides an excellent opportunity for an experienced nurse looking to further develop their leadership and management skills.
To be successful in this role, you will be an experienced Registered Nurse with a commitment to excellence in oncology care and a desire to further develop your leadership capabilities.
Key skills include:
- Ability to provide guidance, support and direction to nursing staff while maintaining high standards of patient care.
- Strong interpersonal skills and the ability to work effectively with patients, families and multidisciplinary teams.
- Ability to manage competing priorities, coordinate patient flow and support efficient ward operations.

Details of appointment
Fixed term part time, shift worker position, working 64 hours per fortnight, 6 September 2026 - 5 September 2027.
Applicants should note that, for a period of twelve months from the date of publication, this selection process may be used to fill subsequent or similar full time, part time, and casual vacancies.
Salary
$109,767 to $115,813 per annum (Pro rata). Our Employer 12% superannuation contribution is on top of this amount.
- Salary range is in accordance with Nurses and Midwives (Tasmania State Service) Agreement 2023.
