The Role

• Demonstrated ability to provide contemporary nursing leadership in a complex environment. Knowledge of national and state health issues and reform agendas, and a track record in achievement of outcomes in areas of responsibility.
• Comprehensive knowledge and application of current nursing issues relevant to Surgical Services areas together with demonstrated knowledge of legislation, standards and policies affecting clinical practice.
• Proven ability to contribute effectively as a member of a multidisciplinary senior management team with proven experience in the management of physical, financial and human resources under a clinical service model or similar environment.

Details of Appointment

Fixed term full time, day worker position, working 76 hours per fortnight, commencing from as soon as possible until 31 December 2026.

Classification

Registered Nurse Grade 8 Level 4

Salary

$154,301 per annum + 12% superannuation + access to salary packaging

• Salary range is in accordance with Nurses and Midwives (Tasmanian State Service) Agreement 2023

Eligibility

Successful applicants will be required to meet the essential criteria:

• Registered with the Nursing and Midwifery Board of Australia as a Registered Nurse

Applicants should note the following criteria are desirable:

• Holds a relevant post graduate tertiary qualification and can demonstrate application of the acquired knowledge base to achieve nursing service improvements and organisational outcomes aligned to the hospital wide professional requirements of the position

Under particular circumstances employees may be required to undertake a new conviction check.
