About the Role

This is a new role within the People Services team. It’s ideal for an experienced HR Business Partner who is looking for an opportunity to step away from generalist support, to focus on Organisational Design and People Centred Change. The role will partner with the Manager Organisational Architecture, Executives and Senior Leaders to scope, develop and deliver all major Melbourne Water Organisational Design initiatives.  

In this role you will:

  • Build, maintain and influence internal stakeholder relationships to ensure the effective delivery of the Organisational Architecture function.
  • Support the program management of all organisational structure changes in Melbourne Water.
  • Deliver responsive advice and assistance to Managers and employees on Employee Relations issues relating to organisational change, inc. consultation, role redesign and redundancy.
  • Champion continuous improvement methods, frameworks, tools, and processes.
  • Prepare periodic and ad-hoc reports/papers for senior stakeholders.
  • Support the development of standardised processes for organisational structural change implementation with key stakeholders.

About you:

  • Extensive experience in a HR Business Partner role providing expert advice on HR and ER related issues to senior leaders.
  • Extensive experience in supporting leaders and employees through organisational change.
  • Experience in Project Management.
  • Proven ability to analyse data to provide insights and recommendations.
  • Knowledge and understanding of the Australian workplace legislative environment and/or a relevant tertiary qualification.
  • Strong communication skills and ability to influence leaders where appropriate.
  • Ability to coach and mentor others.
  • Ability to make decisions and solve problems in high pressure situations.
