As the Crew Member with Fire, you’ll be responsible for the execution of natural resources management, civil maintenance/project works and bushfire response and preparedness activities on Melbourne Water’s Waterways and Land assets.
As the Flood Information Practitioner for Melbourne Water you’ll be responsible for the delivery of a program of data quality improvement projects and contribute to the development of the processes and procedures required for the effective management of Melbourne Water’s flood information. This will ensure timely, accurate, and fit for purpose information is available to internal and external customers. You will be required to demonstrate an understanding of GIS and data management and system integration requirements. The successful candidate will also be able to understand and respond to customer requirements and be able to work with providers in developing effective solutions for the storage and provision of fit for purpose flood information and data to internal and external stakeholders.
As a seasonal Fire Fighter you will assist in bushfire preparedness, suppression and planned burning operations. When not directly involved in firefighting activities, the project fire fighter will undertake a broad range of other activities including civil maintenance and natural resource management maintenance. Project fire fighters work under direct supervision from Crew leaders and Supervisors.
