About the role
Located in Queensland’s Bowen Basin, the QCoal Northern Hub produces hard coking and thermal coal. Thiess has a long record of service at QCoal Northern Hub, having operated at the project since 2007!
Thiess is offering permanent fulltime opportunities for experienced Mining Operators to join our team; situated about 100km South-west of Bowen in the friendly lifestyle location of the beautiful Whitsunday Coast of Queensland and only a few minutes from the township of Collinsville.
About you
To be considered for these opportunities you are required to have:
- 1 years’ experience operating at least one production mining equipment on a mine site
- Rear Dump Truck, Dozer, Grader or Excavator
- An SSE signed skills list
- Current drivers’ licence
- Standard 11 – coal mining induction
- A commitment to a positive safety culture

Truck Operators – opportunity to earn $119,768 + super ($114,268 base + up to $5,500 attendance bonus + super)
Multi-Skilled Operators - opportunity to earn $128,433 + super ($120,433 base + $2,500 market payment + up to $5,500 attendance bonus)
Excavator Operators - opportunity to earn $146,597 + super ($121,597 + $15,000 market payment + 1 x up to $5,500 attendance bonus)
