About the role

Reporting to the Supervisor, Drill and Blast, as our next Shotfirer this position will see you fundamentally contributing to the success of the blasting team on site. The current blast crew roster arrangement is Monday to Thursday, 10.50 hour dayshift plus overtime on Friday's.

In this role, you will:

• Day to day field operations, including blasting targets are met
• A safe and healthy workplace for all employees is maintained
• Community and Environmental compliance objectives are adhered to
• Transport and Delivery of dangerous goods is safely conducted
• Housekeeping in magazines, magazine compound, explosive vehicles and work areas are kept to high level

About you

• A Current NSW Security Clearance (UHL) and Shotfiring Blasting Explosives Users Licence (EUL) for Open Cut Coal Mining
• Experience in Shotfiring operations using electronic initiation systems
• Operational experience in Mobile Processing Units (desirable)
• Experience in stock management and bulk material loading
• Collaborative communication sills
• Ability to work in a fluid/dynamic environment as part of an adaptive team
• Self-driven and able to work autonomously in the field
