About The Role

Reporting to the Mining Performance System Manager, we have a great opportunity for a Database and Systems Analyst to maintain and develop the data storage and enrichment of onboard technology data. This will be achieved by developing and maintaining functional and technical specifications, conducting development and testing, and ensuring consistency in the application of the data storage systems and related processes across the business.

Additionally, the role will:

  • Identify database improvements process and make recommendations for possible solutions or enhancements
  • Track works changes through the development cycle and ensure key stakeholders are informed of status and progress
  • Communicates system issues and updates with key users for effective utilisation of Thiess Service Desk system to manage support incidents

About You

You will have a tertiary qualifications in Information Technology or related discipline (eg Engineering, Computer Science), and demonstrated experience working in an environment that supports and develops corporate wide systems.

You have previous experience with the following technologies:

  • SQL Management Studio
  • Microsoft Azure

Ideally you will have previous experience with the following technologies:

  • Databricks
  • Microsoft Fabric
  • Snowflake
  • Data factory

Ideally you will have experience in a mining or equipment maintenance industry, and experience working in a team of technical specialists.

You will also have demonstrated high level communication skills, with ability to work with both technical and non-technical teams.
