About the role

We are seeking Auto Electricians to join our Thiess Western Region Maintenance hub located in Hazelmere, working Monday – Friday.

The Maintenance Hub is designed to support repairs and refurbish a variety of Mining Equipment and Components within Thiess and subsidiary internal Asset refurbishment requirements as well as external key Tier 1 mining customers.

With a strong pipeline of machine refurbishments including major component changes on a fleet of CAT 793F's, this position also offers a great working atmosphere with potential to grow your career into any aspect of maintenance and asset management within the Thiess group.

About you

• Able to conduct thorough diagnostics to identify electrical and electronic faults.
• Efficiently repair and replace faulty electrical components
• Proficient in Servicing and repairs to heavy vehicle air-condition systems
• Able to read electrical schematics, diagnosing, and carrying out repairs on 12/24v electrical systems
• Trade certified Auto Electrical Tradesperson
• Previous open cut mining experience in the maintenance of a heavy earthmoving fleet essential 
• Specific experience with Caterpillar Dump Trucks, Hitachi Excavators and Ancillary Equipment  
• Previous experience with air conditioning systems required  
• HR drivers licence (desirable)  
• Proven compliance and commitment to health and safety at all times
