ABOUT THE ROLE
We are seeking a skilled Diesel Fitter to join our team. Reporting to the Maintenance Supervisor, you will work collaboratively to deliver high-quality maintenance solutions and outstanding results.
Key Responsibilities:
  • Ensure safe work practices and compliance with the Site Safety Health and Management System.
  • Maintain, repair, and service a variety of mobile plant equipment in line with Thiess and industry standards.
  • Diagnose faults, troubleshoot, and conduct preventative maintenance.
  • Complete documentation and reporting to a high standard.
  • Uphold excellent housekeeping standards to maintain a safe work environment.
  • Contribute to continuous improvement efforts within the maintenance team.
  • Demonstrate a commitment to risk management and safe work practices.

ABOUT YOU
To succeed in this role, you will bring:
  • A Trade Certificate in Diesel Fitting or equivalent qualification.
  • Post-trade experience in the mining or heavy earthmoving industry.
  • Hands-on experience with general maintenance, breakdowns, component change-outs, and servicing of heavy earthmoving equipment.
  • A current driver’s licence (Standard 11 certification is desirable).
  • A proactive attitude toward safety and a commitment to fostering a positive safety culture.
