About the Role
We are seeking a Production Coordinator at Mount Arthur South in NSW. Reporting to the Production Superintendent you will work collaboratively to deliver high-quality mining solutions and results.
This is an excellent opportunity for someone with a technical services/engineering background and an ambition to further their career in a hands-on production role. You will be responsible for the effective execution of the mine plan by being the conduit between the site Technical Services and Production teams.
The following skills ’and abilities are required:
· Ensure effective communication with Mining Supervisor throughout the shift
· Execute the mine plan by ensuring effective utilisation and productivities of mining resources
· Monitor performance of each production unit throughout the shift for conformance to the mine plan parameters and implement action to address non-conformance where required
· Comply with all site coal recovery procedures and actively engage site Geologists and other technical resources to ensure that the coal mining approach for each area takes into account the geological features present and optimises the recovery of coal
· The ability to prioritising between conflicting demands
· Excellent communication, interpersonal and organisational skills
· High level of computer literacy
· Excellent problem solving skills and logical aptitude
Located five kilometres south of Muswellbrook in the Upper Hunter Valley of New South Wales, Mt Arthur Coal is an open cut mine, producing thermal coal.
About you
To be considered for this opportunity you are required to have demonstrated experience in the following areas:
· Tertiary Qualifications in Mining Engineering or related discipline
· Demonstrated experience in open cut mining
· Truck and Excavator operations knowledge
· Ability to work in a fast-paced and dynamic environment
· Able to follow procedures and protocols whilst seeking improvement opportunities
· Excellent communication and computer skills
· Ability to multi-task whilst remaining focused
· Current C Class driver’s licence
