About the role
We are taking applications from Indigenous Women located in the Pilbara looking to join the Mining Industry. Our Sisters in Maintenance Pre-Apprenticeship program offers a 12 month hands on training program at the Iron Bridge Mine. Along with working on site you will complete a Certificate II in Engineering at Pilbara TAFE.
We are looking for applicants who:
- Have a real passion for maintenance and gaining a trade and will be motivated to learn new skills and knowledge to excel in their career
- Appreciate the rewards and challenges a career in the resources industry provides
- Demonstrate resilience and the ability to remain positive
- Enjoy building relationships in a team environment
Some things to note:
- The 2023 Sisters in Maintenance Intake will start 20 March 2023
- The first week will be spent located at our Hazelmere facility before rotating to a Drive In Drive Out (bus) roster based on the mine site
- The positions point of hire is Port Hedland
About you
- Must be 18 years old or turning 18 by 1 February 2023
- Current Australian drivers licence (provisional accepted)
- You will need to be self-motivated and have a mature attitude to complete the required studies
