What you’ll do:
As Senior Specialist – Communication at Thiess, you’ll help shape the voice of a global leader in mining services 12 month contract. You’ll work across regions, time zones and teams – partnering with executives, regional leaders, and creative partners to deliver meaningful and high-impact communications that bring our culture, priorities, and brand to life.
Whether it’s safety, sustainability, diversity, or digital transformation – your work will help people connect with the why behind what we do.
- Partner with senior leaders to craft strategic communication plans that support global business priorities.
- Create compelling content – from thought leadership pieces to executive presentations to video scripts and digital campaigns.
- Simplify complex ideas into powerful messages that engage internal and external audiences.
- Bring creative thinking and bold ideas to refresh our communication channels and collateral.
- Monitor, measure and refine communication activities based on data and insights.
- Coordinate with external agencies and internal stakeholders to ensure everything runs smoothly and on-brand.
A bit about you:
With over 10 years of experience in strategic communications, corporate affairs, or internal communications, you bring a deep understanding of how to craft and deliver clear, compelling content tailored to a variety of audiences and channels. Your writing is sharp, purposeful, and adaptable—whether you're developing executive messaging, social media content, or internal campaigns. You're equally confident engaging stakeholders at all levels, from senior executives to frontline teams, and know how to build trust and alignment across diverse groups.
Digitally savvy, you're comfortable navigating video conferencing or unified communication & collaboration platforms, social tools, and emerging communication technologies to amplify messaging and ensure relevance. You're skilled at managing multiple priorities, deadlines, and competing voices without losing focus or quality. While experience in complex, global, or industrial environments is a bonus, what truly sets you apart is your ability to connect authentically, think creatively, and deliver communications that make a real impact.
