About the role

Our QCoal Northern Hub Project is seeking an experienced Yard Person for a permanent employment opportunity. Reporting to the Maintenance Superintendent, you will work collaboratively towards delivering high-quality solutions and results.

The QCoal Northern Hub is situated in the Bowen Basin in Central Queensland, about 6km south of Collinsville.

In this role, you will be required to:

• Grounds maintenance: slashing, snipping, poisoning, pest control, and tidying bunding around compounds.
• Workshop and site upkeep: cleaning, straightening, and repairing signage; general building maintenance.
• Support tasks: assisting electricians (e.g. aircon installs) and general T/A duties with stores.
• Minor civil works: concreting, road repairs, and cleaning out sumps.
• Equipment operation: Franna/IT loader use (desirable).
• Weekly inspections: water treatment plant checks and servicing.
• Logistics: delivering SOS samples to the post office.

What you need to apply?

• Prior experience in a similar role
• Experience working in an open cut mining environment - highly desirable
• Franna / IT loader RII’s - highly desirable
• Driver’s Licence
• Standard 11
