Are you a qualified High Voltage Electrician looking for a secure and rewarding opportunity? Join our dynamic team at Olive Downs Complex, delivering excellence in mining while maintaining a strong focus on safety and environmental standards.

Pembroke Resource’s Olive Downs Complex is a greenfield project located 40 kilometres South-East of Moranbah which commenced mining operations mid-2023. Thiess deliver full-service mining operations, including mine planning overburden removal, drill and blast, load and haul (Autonomous), water management and rehabilitation as well as the construction of the mine infrastructure.

About The Role

By joining our team, you will have the opportunity to be a part of a new workforce that is focused on developing a strong performance culture and a culture that values everyone’s contribution equally. As an Electrical Tradesperson (HV), you will be required to:

  • Maintain a fleet of AC Electric Drive Haul Trucks (Autonomous) and other plant equipment and site infrastructure safely and efficiently as directed in accordance with Thiess maintenance systems documentation.
  • Work safely and comply with the Site Safety Health and Management System.
  • Completing General Maintenance, Breakdowns, Services and Component Change outs.
  • Periodical Statutory Electrical Testing/ Inspections
  • Source technical information from the relevant available reference manuals, technical bulletins, OEM and computer-based systems.
  • Ensure good housekeeping standards are maintained at all times.
  • Conduct required inspections to maximise equipment utilisation

About you

As a successful applicant, you’ll be a high-achieving safety-focused individual who enjoys delivering results in a dynamic environment. Your attention to detail coupled with your commitment to delivering high quality work will also ensure your success in this role. The ideal candidate will hold:

  • Queensland Electrical Work Licence or equivalent
  • HV Switching certification desirable
  • Proven experience in a similar role in heavy industry or construction
  • Current LVR/ CPR
  • Valid Driver’s Licence 
  • Current Standard 11
