What you’ll do
As a Talent Acquisition Advisor, you will take on a pivotal role in identifying, attracting, and securing ambitious talent for Thiess’ renowned Future Talent Program. This initiative is instrumental in building the leaders and specialists of tomorrow, and your efforts will contribute directly to the continued success and growth of our organisation.
In this role, you will work across a variety of talent pipelines, including graduates, apprentices, trainees, and entry-level roles, ensuring that Thiess’ recruitment objectives align with our long-term workforce strategy.
Key Responsibilities
- Lead Recruitment Campaigns: Develop and execute end-to-end recruitment strategies for the Future Talent Program, including campaign creation, sourcing candidates, and managing selection processes.
- Engage and Attract Talent: Use innovative approaches to connect with top-tier early-career candidates through networking, social platforms, campus recruitment, and events.
- Collaborate with Stakeholders: Work closely with hiring managers, HR, universities, and industry partners to ensure alignment with workforce planning and diversity objectives.
- Run Assessment Processes: Facilitate a seamless recruitment experience by coordinating and overseeing interviews, group assessments, and hiring panels.
- Champion Inclusion & Diversity: Advocate for diversity and inclusion throughout recruitment and selection to foster a future workforce that reflects the communities we serve.
- Provide Exceptional Candidate Care: Deliver a positive experience for all candidates, ensuring ongoing engagement and communication.
- Support Program Development: Collaborate with the wider team to ensure onboarding, training, and professional development components of the program meet excellence standards.
What You’ll Need to Succeed
To succeed in this role, you will need:
- A background in talent acquisition, ideally within large or complex organisations.
- Demonstrated experience in the facilitation of assessment centres, specifically for graduate and apprenticeship recruitment, or early-career programs.
- Proven experience managing recruitment lifecycles across diverse roles, particularly entry-level or early career positions.
- Strong communication and interpersonal skills, with the ability to build relationships across internal and external stakeholders.
- Creativity and innovative thinking in sourcing and engaging with talent from diverse backgrounds.
- A commitment to promoting an inclusive workplace and identifying underrepresented talent pools.
- Exceptional organisational and project management skills, with the ability to juggle competing deadlines and priorities.
- Knowledge of recruitment systems (e.g., ATS) and data-driven decision-making.
Desirable:
- Experience in mining, construction, or heavy industries is a bonus but not essential.
This role will require regular travel for assessment centres and careers expos.
