The opportunity

Are you a hands-on leader with a passion for fixed plant maintenance and team development? Thiess are seeking experienced and motivated Supervisors – CHPP Maintenance/Planners to join our high-performing team at Lake Vermont.

As a key member of our CHPP team, you’ll be responsible for planning and supervising maintenance activities to ensure our CHPP operates safely, efficiently, and to availability KPI’s. You’ll lead a crew of skilled tradespeople, drive continuous improvement, and play a pivotal role in achieving operational excellence.

Key Responsibilities:

  • Lead and mentor a maintenance crew to deliver high-quality, cost-effective outcomes.
  • Plan and execute maintenance activites and schedules aligned with OEM specs and Thiess standards.
  • Ensure compliance with safety, environmental, and legislative requirements.
  • Collaborate with internal teams and external suppliers to optimise performance.
  • Monitor and report on maintenance KPIs, costs, and inventory usage.

About You:
To be successful in this role, you will possess:

  • Trade Certificate or Mechanical Engineering qualification.
  • Proven experience in fixed plant maintenance within mining.
  • Strong leadership and planning skills.
  • Knowledge of the Coal Mining Safety and Health Act 1999.
  • Proficiency in maintenance systems and scheduling tools.
  • Relevant Coal Mining Competencies G1, G8, G9
