What you’ll do
You will lead the deployment and support of OT systems, ensuring high availability, data accuracy, and user engagement to meet business requirements. This position offers the opportunity to influence change, drive innovation, and shape the future of autonomous mining technologies.
Key Responsibilities
- Lead delivery of OT deployments and technical work packages to achieve operational and business goals.
- Provide coaching and guidance to engineers, analysts, and project teams.
- Drive OT-related change initiatives and standardisation across sites.
- Ensure OT systems meet safety, legislative, and client requirements.
- Apply commercial acumen to manage budgets, vendor agreements, and cost-saving opportunities.
- Influence adoption of OT best practices and foster strong stakeholder relationships.
- Support project delivery to ensure OT projects are completed on time and within budget.
- Analyse multi-source data to generate actionable insights and continuous improvement.
- Maintain compliance with Thiess governance systems and contribute to their development.
What You’ll Need to Succeed
You are an experienced engineering professional with a passion for mining technology and innovation. You thrive in collaborative environments, demonstrate strong leadership, and have the ability to influence stakeholders while driving continuous improvement. Your technical expertise and commercial acumen enable you to deliver impactful solutions that support Thiess’ operational technology goals.
You will bring:
- A degree in Engineering or equivalent qualifications/experience.
- 5+ years’ experience in a relevant engineering role.
- Proven leadership capability and stakeholder management skills.
- Experience with autonomous system technologies (highly regarded).
- Strong commercial acumen and negotiation ability.
- Excellent communication and collaboration skills.
- An innovative mindset with a focus on continuous improvement.
