ABOUT THE ROLE:

As our next Electrician, reporting to the Site Services Supervisor, you will work collaboratively towards delivering high-quality solutions and results.

The Lake Vermont Coal Project is situated in Dysart, North Queensland.

Duties in your day-to-day role will include:

  • Working safely and complying with the Site Safety Health and Management System.
  • Carry out the servicing, repair, installation and commissioning of electrical infrastructure, including commercial kitchen and laundry equipment, in our camp facilities located in Dysart, as well as at the Lake Vermont Mine.
  • Carry out statutory testing and inspections of electrical infrastructure and apparatus to ensure compliance with relevant Acts, Regulations, Standards and Codes of Practice.
  • Source technical information from the relevant available reference manuals, technical bulletins, OEM and computer-based systems.
  • Ensure good housekeeping standards are maintained at all times.
  • Complete tasks to a high standard.

ABOUT YOU:

To thrive in this role, you will have:

  • Queensland Electrical Trade Certificate and current unrestricted Electrical work licence
  • Sound knowledge of, but not limited to, AS/NZS 3000, AS/NZS 3017, AS/NZS 3760
  • Current Standard 11 and Coal Board Medical preferred, but not essential
  • Post-trade experience working in a similar role.
