What you’ll do
As the Specialist, Performance & Talent, you will be responsible for designing, embedding and continuously improving our enterprise talent, performance and succession frameworks. Your work will influence leadership pipelines, succession planning, performance governance and capability development across regions.
Reporting to the Group Manager, Total Rewards, you will partner with stakeholders including the Executive Leadership Team, Group Manager People Strategy, HRIS teams and regional HR leaders to ensure our frameworks are simple, scalable, aligned to business strategy and consistently applied across the organisation.
Key Responsibilities
- Design, govern and continuously improve enterprise talent, succession and performance frameworks, ensuring they are simple, scalable and aligned to CIMIC and Thiess business requirements.
- Lead critical talent and performance cycles, including succession planning, talent Partner with HRIS teams to optimise systems capability across talent, succession and performance processes, including enhancement, reporting design and operational support
- Provide talent, performance and workforce insights to senior leaders, informing organisational capability, leadership pipeline health, and enterprise-level risk and planning.
- Build capability across HR and leadership teams by delivering education programs, strengthening performance conversations, and uplifting skills in talent identification, development and succession planning
- Foster strong stakeholder relationships and promote continuous improvement, ensuring safety reporting, constructive issue resolution, and effective influence across internal and external partners.
What you’ll bring
You’re a people‑focused, analytical and values‑driven HR professional who thrives in complex environments and is confident navigating change. You bring strong foundations in talent, performance and capability development, underpinned by sound judgement, professionalism and relationship‑building strength. Your ability to work with data, HRIS systems and diverse stakeholders enables you to influence outcomes, while your growth mindset and cultural agility support your success across a global and dynamic organisation.
You will have:
- Tertiary qualifications in HR, business management, organisational psychology or equivalent experience, with strong analytical capability and HRIS experience.
- Demonstrated experience across organisational effectiveness, talent, performance and capability development, ideally within complex or Centre of Excellence environments.
- High discretion, professionalism, attention to detail and the ability to build strong relationships across all organisational levels, with cultural agility.
- A growth mindset and confidence navigating ambiguity and change, with exposure to mining, construction or engineering sectors highly regarded.
