The Opportunity

To provide quality support services to Information and Communication Technology customers to exceed the expectations of the Thiess business and end users.

About The Role

• Provide 24/7 timely & quality 1st level Service Desk support providing investigation, response, feedback, escalation, assistance and resolution to incidents logged by the Thiess Business Unit Employees.
• Maintain a high level of professionalism, integrity, interpersonal and communication skills and present a customer focused attitude in daily operations.
• Ensure all Incidents and work tasks are updated and maintained in a timely and informative manner to promote SLA compliance and knowledge.
• Proactively review the services being provided to ensure they are fit for purpose, cost effective and performing adequately.
• Provide feedback to clients on the status of faults and services requested.
• Develop & maintain business relationships.
• Ensure all systems and network services are available when required by the business and are performing as expected.
• Team training and knowledge sharing.
• Day to day administration of Thiess Systems.
• Diagnose and resolve support calls.
• Install and implement software on workstations, providing initial customer instruction where necessary.
• Team Handling and conflict resolution.
• Roster creation and optimum resource utilization.
• Produce and maintain process documentation.
• User account administration.

About You

• Ability to communicate effectively to all levels of the organization.
• Working knowledge of enterprise ICT environments.
• Knowledge of ITIL practices desirable.
• Active Directory user account administration- Creation/deletion/management of objects, DL/Shared mailbox/Contact management, Managing Attributes, Moving Objects.
• Working knowledge of an ICT incident call management system.  (Service Now desirable).
• Working knowledge of common desktop software including Windows 10 and MS Office365.
• Working knowledge of workstation hardware and peripheral devices.
• Good to have an exposure of server technologies such as Active Directory, Group Policy, Citrix and SCCM.
• Desk phone management (Cisco/Avaya).
• Microsoft O365 Administration (Identity/Exchange/Security/Teams).
• Knowledge of Anti-Virus/security practices.
• 24x7 Network monitoring.
• Ability to provide in-depth technical PC support and analysis
• Tertiary qualifications in Information Technology.
