Thiess is seeking experienced Heavy Diesel Fitters to join our high-performing maintenance teams across multiple sites in Queensland:
- Olive Downs Complex – Moranbah
- Lake Vermont – Dysart
- QCoal Northern Hub – Collinsville
- EVA Copper - Cloncurry
- Peak Downs – Moranbah
- Caval Ridge – Moranbah
- Curragh North – Blackwater
Reporting to the Maintenance Supervisor, you’ll play a critical role in keeping our operations moving.
Your day-to-day will include:
- Servicing, maintaining, and repairing large-scale mining equipment
- Handling breakdowns and completing component change-outs efficiently
- Using OEM manuals and technical systems to troubleshoot and resolve issues
- Conducting inspections to maximise equipment performance and uptime
- Maintaining high safety and housekeeping standards
What You'll Bring
- Trade qualification in Diesel Fitting
- Proven post-trade experience in mining or heavy earthmoving
- Strong skills across maintenance, breakdowns, and equipment servicing
- A proactive, safety-first mindset and pride in your work
