What you’ll do
Reporting to the Payroll Improvement Manager, you will support the delivery and optimisation of payroll systems and processes. You’ll contribute to both operational excellence and transformation projects, ensuring our payroll environment aligns with business needs, legislative requirements and system capability.
- Manage and prioritise payroll system change requests to ensure timely delivery
- Configure and maintain payroll and time & attendance systems, including rates, rules and allowances
- Partner with IR, IT and vendors to interpret and implement Awards and EA requirements
- Analyse payroll data, identify discrepancies and drive corrective actions
- Conduct system audits to ensure ongoing compliance and data integrity
- Support complex payroll queries, providing accurate and timely resolution
- Identify process improvements and lead initiatives through to implementation
- Support reporting, reconciliations and audit activities
A bit about you
You bring a strong foundation in end-to-end payroll within a medium to large organisation, combined with analytical capability and systems knowledge.
- Experience working with payroll and time & attendance systems
- Strong understanding of Awards, EAs and payroll legislation (including Fair Work Act)
- Proven ability to interpret requirements and translate them into system configurations
- Experience with payroll data analysis, troubleshooting and process improvement
- Strong stakeholder engagement skills across technical and business teams
- Intermediate Excel skills and solid MS Office capability
- Exposure to Oracle HRIS and/or Preceda (desirable)
