The Opportunity

Are you a detail-oriented professional with a passion for quality assurance and document control ? Thiess is seeking experienced and motivated QA Officer to join our high-performing team at Batam Rebuild Centre.

As a key member of the Batam Rebuild Centre team, you'll be responsible for development, control, maintenance, and monitoring of Safe
Work Procedures (SWP) and controlled documents supporting Batam production activities.

Roster: 5:2| Location: PT Thiess Engineering Indonesia, Batam | Employment Type: Permanent Full Time

 

As the [Position Title], you will:

  • Ensures all procedures are accurate, compliant, clearly communicated, and effectively implemented
    across production operations.
  • This position also supports digital process flow monitoring of procedural
    implementation using the company-approved system to ensure visibility, compliance, and continual improvement.
  • Acts as the central authority for Safe Work Procedure control within Batam production.
  • Integrates document management, operational safety, and digital process monitoring.
  • Requires close interaction with shop-floor personnel to ensure procedures reflect actual work practices.
  • Supports both formal document control systems and system-based workflow monitoring tools.
  • Plays a key role in maintaining alignment between documented procedures and real-time operational
    execution.

 

About you

  • Minimum Diploma (D3) or Certificate III in Engineering, Industrial Management, Quality Management Or a related discipline
  • 2–4 years' experience as Document control, QA/QC, HSE, or production-related roles in heavy equipment manufacturing, maintenance, or the mining industry is preferred.
  • Demonstrated experience in Safe Work Procedures, SOPs, or Work
    Instructions is required.
  • Strong knowledge of OEM service support systems such as SIS, Quick Serve,
    etc.
  • Strong knowledge of document control principles and revision management.
  • Ability to draft, review, and structure Safe Work Procedures.
  • Experience with digital workflow, safety management, or operational monitoring
    systems.
  • Proficient in Microsoft Word and Excel, Document registers and tracking tools, PDF editing and formatting
  • Basic understanding of HSE principles and risk-based thinking, Production processes and task sequencing
