The Opportunity
Looking for an even-time roster, great earning potential and the opportunity to operate industry-leading heavy mining equipment? Thiess is seeking experienced and safety-focused Operators to join our high-performing team at QCoal Northern Hub.
As a key member of the operations team, you'll play an important role in delivering safe, productive and efficient mining outcomes while operating a fleet of large-scale mining equipment in a dynamic open-cut coal environment.
Roster: 7/7| Location: Collinsville, QLD| Employment Type: Permanent
As an operator, you will:
- Operate haul trucks and/or production mining equipment safely and efficiently across site operations.
- Complete pre-starts, workplace inspections and hazard reporting to ensure a safe working environment.
- Contribute to production outcomes by working closely with the team to meet daily operational targets.
About you
- Experience operating at least one production mining equipment on a mine site (Rear Dump Truck, Dozer, Grader or Excavator)
- Verified machinery skills list (Signed Training Transcripts)
- A proactive attitude with the desire to work reliably as part of a team
- Current Standard 11 and current drivers licence
- A commitment to a positive safety culture

- Opportunity to earn up to $130,395.00 plus super + $10,000 Retention Payment (paid in 52 weekly payments) + Market payments up to $15,000 to be applied – role dependant
- Attendance allowance - $250 per fortnight
- BIBO from Townsville
- Camp accommodation close to mine site - 10 minutes down the road
- Even time roster of 7/7 rotating days/nights- 12hr shifts
