About the role

This is an exciting opportunity for a Maintenance Planning Superintendent to grow their career and effect real results in the maintenance department at Mt Arthur South.

Reporting to the Maintenance Manager and leading a team of Planners, the Maintenance Superintendent will coordinate all site maintenance activities for the project in accordance with legislative requirements, Thiess procedures and OEM recommendations. This role will work a Monday to Friday roster.

In this role, you will:

  • Build a strong and collaborative work team.
  • Demonstrate and maintain a high standard of safety leadership.
  • Drive a high-performance culture in the maintenance team.
  • Develop and maintain strong relationships with relevant Stakeholders.
  • Striving for continuous improvement and ensuring assets are managed effectively to achieve budget utilisation rates
  • Understanding and enforcing statutory compliance obligations

About you

  • A strong people focus with the ability to drive a high performing team and build strong relationships on all levels of the organisation.
  • Extensive technical, planning and maintenance knowledge of large and ancillary mining equipment.
  • Competent with the timing and resource provision for ad hoc, planning and scheduling functions of industry standard asset maintenance and shutdown principles in a mining environment.
  • Experienced with cost control in a mining maintenance environment.
  • Extensive knowledge and understanding of Asset Management principles and standards.
  • Understanding of Reliability Centred Maintenance (RCM) strategies.
  • Significant demonstrated leadership which supports a high performance culture
  • Competent with the Microsoft suite of applications
  • JDE or similar experience advantageous.
  • A strong client relationship focus.
  • Mechanical trade qualification, coupled with extensive experience in Mining Maintenance.
  • Knowledge of relevant mining related legislation including knowledge of relevant NSW DII MDG’s and codes of practice and relevant Australian Standards.
