About the role

Thiess Mt Arthur has a great opportunity for a Drill Fitter to join our team reporting to the Maintenance Superintendent you will work collaboratively towards delivering high-quality solutions and results.

In this role, you will work a 5/4 4/5 5/5 dayshift only roster and in return, we will offer great opportunities for you to take your career to the next level.

As part of the maintenance team some of your duties will include:

  • Perform the servicing, repair and maintenance of Thiess site drill rigs as directed in accordance with Thiess servicing, lubrication and maintenance systems documentation
  • Completing General Maintenance, Breakdowns, Services and Component Change outs to a high standard
  • Ability to source technical information from the relevant available reference manuals, technical bulletins, OEM and computer based systems
  • Assisting in the successful implementation ongoing ma for the drill autonomy programme
  • Ensure good housekeeping standards are maintained at all times

About you

  • Trade Certificate as a Plant Mechanic or equivalent
  • Post-trade experience working in the Mining, Heavy Earth Moving or drilling industry
  • Experience in General Maintenance, Breakdowns, Component Change Outs and Servicing of Rotary Blast Hole Drill Rigs and Heavy Earth Moving Equipment
  • Demonstrated experience Rotary Blast Hole Drill Rigs and large earthmoving equipment
