About the role

As our next Mining Coordinator reporting to the Mining Supervisor, you will work collaboratively towards delivering high-quality production solutions and results within the mine site. The role requires you to effectively manage the mining operational personnel and ensure the timely execution of the mine plan in a safe and efficient manner.

Our Lake Vermont Project is situated in Dysart, Central Queensland.

In this role, your responsibilities will include:

  • Assist the Mining Supervisor with leading a mining crew to deliver production results in a safe and efficient manner.
  • Carry out effective inspection and reporting processes in accordance with relevant site policies and procedures
  • Co-ordination of production operators and equipment to deliver the production schedule in line with weekly plan.
  • Conduct mining practices to reduce costs and improve efficiency.
  • Actively seek continuous improvement.
  • Assist with incident investigations within area of responsibility.

About you

To be considered for this role you are required to have:

  • Previous experience as Crew Leading Hand in an open-cut coal mining environment is essential with a minimum of 5 years operating mining equipment.
  • Previous experience acting as a Step-Up Crew Production Supervisor in an open-cut coal mining environment is highly regarded.
  • A solid understanding of the processes involved with open cut coal mining.
  • Good organisational, communication and presentation skills coupled with approachable and motivational qualities.
  • Proven leadership experience and people management skills is essential
  • Qualifications that support your experience and success within the coal mining industry.
  • Strong attention to detail and problem-solving skills.
  • Current Coal Board Medical, Standard 11, S123 and G2
