About the role

As our next HV Electrician, your role will be the effective maintenance of a brand-new fleet of LIEBHERR T264 Electric Drive Haul Trucks. This includes regular electrical services, fault finding, diagnosis and repairs, component replacements.

Duties will also include but not be limited to:

  • Statutory electrical testing and inspections  
  • Minor electrical works
  • Electrical breakdowns
  • Commissioning of new plant and equipment
  • Testing and documentation
  • Site electrical logbook recording

About you

You will have a minimum of 3 years’ demonstrated experience in fixed plant and high voltage operation and maintenance. Exposure to AC and DC motors and the exposure to electric drive haul trucks with fault finding and diagnostic capabilities will be highly regarded.

Experience in motor control, PLC and VSDs is a must and a willingness to learn new technologies would be highly regarded. An in-depth working knowledge of AS/NZS 3000 and all associated Mines, Electrical and WHS Regulations and standards is also highly regarded.  This position would suit a proactive highly conscientious person wanting to take the next step in a developing electrical industry and bring their career to the next level.

  • WA Unrestricted Electrical Licence (A Grade)
  • LVR/CPR (Within 1 year)
  • First Aid
  • HV Switching Certificate (Within 2 Years)
  • Cert III Electrotechnology
  • Instrumentation/motor control and control system experience
  • WAH, high risk work licence and EWP
  • Confined spaces and gas test atmospheres
  • HR Licence desirable
