We are excited to be offering scholarships to undergraduate students studying in Australia. This scholarship is open to indigenous undergraduate students studying in following disciplines:
Mining Engineering
Civil Engineering
Geotechnical Engineering
Mechanical or Electrical Engineering
Mechatronics Engineering
As part of this scholarship, selected candidates will receive two instalments (2 x $4,000) at completion of each semester. In addition, you will have the opportunity to build rapport and create relationships within the industry, receive a placement for our vacation program and be exposed to a range of mining projects. Successful completion of the program also provides you with the opportunity to be considered for a permanent role with Thiess as part of our Graduate Program.
About you
A current fulltime, undergraduate student in your second year (or later) studying one of the above engineering degree courses at a recognised university in Australia
Able to maintain a GPA of 4.5 or higher
Available to complete a 12-week vacation work placement with Thiess (prior to graduation)
Committed to joining Thiess as part of our graduate program
Eligible to work in Australia
Able to demonstrate commitment to Thiess’ shared group principles of Discover, Accountability, Respectful, Empowered
Free from a bond or commitment to any other employer
