About The Role
In this role you will:
- Lead a team of supervisor training & specialist training to train and assess TCI personnels in various aspects of skills & knowledge in order to achieve maximum productivity with a high focus on OHS. This will include delivery of health, safety, environmental, construction, mining operation & lifting activity and assessment.
- Coordinate with site training coordinators to develop training plan on site
- Develop budget on relation with safety and operations training or training equipment
- Coordinate with Project Manager, HSE Manager, HSE Superintendent, Managers to get input for developing & reviewing training material or training activity
- Liaise with government, external training provider or Professional Certification Institution to deliver assessment which related Government certification
- Coordinate with HR Managers/Supt. which related recruitment Process
- Develop, deliver trainings & assessment, review Training material
- Develop trainers
- Contribute to the success of Thiess Contractors Indonesia by the effective management of Operations Support Training initiatives through determining and meeting Operation & HSE training needs
- Identify operations training & development needs by analysing TCI results, job requirements, operational problems, plans & forecasts and current training programs.
- Develop a schedule for operations training package and learning resource development within the business unit.
- Work with Safety/Environment Manager, Project Managers and Staff to determine the training needs of each project.
- Coordinate the tasking to ensure resources are allocated in accordance with business priorities.
- Plan and implement programs to support the qualification of construction personnel to meet TCI requirements.
- Develop and maintain the capability to develop training material and deliver training (or sources external providers) in the following key skill areas and related areas that are needed:
- All Safety Health and Environment
- Operations/Mining
- Lifting Equipment Operations
- Rigging and Slinging / Scaffolding/construction
- Identify ‘up stream’ and downstream ‘client requirements ensuring their needs are met or exceed the quality of service expected.
- Keep abreast of the current quality requirements of the organisation, industry, government and clients.
- Conduct internal audits and initiate corrective action requests.
- This role is based in Balikpapan
About You
What skills and experience do you need?
- Minimum of 5 years’ experience in training or senior supervisory experience relating in mining operation, OHSE and statutory training
- Minimum 5 years industrial experience in the mining industry, site exposure preferred.
- Minimum Diploma Degree
- Certificate IV or BNSP ToT Certificate level 4
- OHS&E, construction, mining or equivalent qualification
- Holds POM Certification
- OHS&E requirements Legislative and statutory requirements
- Technical expertise
- Strong in Leadership / people management
- Superior communication skills
- Think strategically - problem solving, initiative. tenacity
- Manage internal and external relationships with ability to influence outcomes.
- Manage self and ability to work collaboratively.
- Drive performance by understanding and developing people and making them accountable.
