About the role

Are you ready to step into a key leadership role in a world-class mining operation? Join us at the Lake Vermont Coal Project as a CHPP Operations Supervisor and take the reins of a high-performing team driving daily operations of our Coal Handling and Preparation Plant (CHPP). This is your opportunity to lead from the front, make real-time decisions, and ensure safe, efficient, and reliable plant performance.

🔧 What you’ll be doing:

  • Lead and supervise daily CHPP operations and shutdown activities
  • Drive safety, compliance, production targets, and continuous improvement
  • Coordinate with mining, maintenance, and engineering teams to keep things running smoothly
  • Deliver effective shift handovers, monitor team performance, and manage training needs
  • Liaise with contractors, suppliers, and clients – you're the go-to person on site
  • Report on plant utilisation, co-disposal, train loading, and stockpile management

What we’re looking for:

  • Proven CHPP operations experience – you know the plant like the back of your hand
  • Supervisory RII qualifications and ideally a trade or engineering background
  • Strong leadership, safety-first mindset, and a knack for communication
  • Proficiency with Microsoft Office and CITECT systems
  • A working knowledge of the Coal Mining Safety and Health Act 1999
