· Claims Reviews: Conduct regular claims reviews and provide updates/directions to business streams and projects to support resolution.

· Non-Work-Related Injuries: Support the management of non-work-related injury and illness claims, as well as income protection (IP) and total permanent disability (TPD) cases.

· Auditing & Improvement: Conduct audits, identify areas for improvement, and recommend strategies to optimise injury management practices.

· Trend Monitoring: Analyse data and monitor trends using Thiess’ injury management system to provide insights and support the prevention of injuries and illnesses.

We’re seeking a highly qualified professional with a degree in Allied Health, Occupational Therapy, Physiotherapy, Exercise Physiology, or a related field (preferred). To excel in this role, you will need extensive experience in a similar position, with a focus on workers’ compensation claims, rehabilitation, and injury management. An Accredited Return to Work Coordinator certification is essential, alongside a deep understanding of state workers’ compensation legislation and best practices. Proven expertise in developing and implementing injury management strategies and return-to-work plans is critical to success in this role.

The ideal candidate will bring strong negotiation and influencing skills, enabling effective collaboration with internal and external stakeholders. Coupled with exceptional verbal and written communication skills, including the ability to deliver training, you’ll also demonstrate impeccable attention to detail and the ability to manage multiple priorities effectively.
