Senior Associate, Indigenous Affairs

In this role, you will
- Support the Head of First Nations Affairs with governance coordination of NAB’s RAP Council and First Nations Advisory Group to deliver on its commitments
- Build strong internal networks to support cross-functional collaboration across NAB where First Nation work touches many teams
- Coordinate and monitor RAP actions and deliverables across the business to ensure timely and accurate reporting
- Manage logistic, planning and delivery of key First Nations events and engagement activities throughout the year
- Coordinate engagements with external stakeholders and provide advice and support on matters pertaining to First Nations colleagues and customers
- Provide support for the above by tracking of projects, deliverables, preparation of meeting papers , briefs and maintain records
What you’ll bring
- Experience working in the corporate sector, ideally with knowledge of or connection to First Nations communities
- Strong stakeholder engagement and relationship management skills
- Excellent organisation and coordination skills, with experience supporting governance forums and high-level meetings
- High attention to detail in preparing correspondence, meeting papers, tracking actions and managing timelines
- Demonstrated ability to manage multiple priorities and deadlines
- Excellent computer skills - Ability to work on multiple documents and used excel, word and powerpoint
- A tertiary qualification or equivalent experience in business administration, communications or related discipline (Bachelors degree preferred)
