Associate Director Transaction Management

Via NAB’s licensed corporate trustee subsidiary, NAB Trust Services Limited, we act as trustee, custodian or escrow agent for a broad suite of transactions, comprising infrastructure trust structures, reinsurance trusts, merger and acquisition escrow requirements, custody and structured funding opportunities.
Reporting to the Head of, Specialised Transaction Management (STM), as Associate Director you will:
- Lead and execute the establishment and management of transactions originated by Corporate Finance’s Corporate Trust business, by engaging with internal and external stakeholders across the value chain.
- Ensure that transactions for Corporate Finance are managed in accordance with transaction obligations and that all finance, tax, treasury, legal, compliance and operational obligations are identified and captured.
- Execute transaction documents under appropriate approvals and operate under subsidiary Power of Attorney.
- Support the Head Of responsibility to ensure the business is operated in compliance with NAB Trust Services Limited’s Australian Financial Services Licence.
- Support the Head Of to ensure a robust control framework exists and is adhered to.
- Ensure changes in internal and external environments are proactively incorporated into processes and controls so as to ensure executed transactions are effectively managed.
- Business representative at Board meetings, including preparation of board papers, and presentation at Board meetings.
- Provide high quality and reliable service to NAB CIB customers, demonstrating good knowledge of trust and custody sector and NAB’s products.
- People leadership responsibility of 6, coaching and developing junior team members and identified talent across the team.
What you will bring:
- 5+ years’ experience in banking / financial services including relevant experience dealing in financial products, experience in providing custodial and depositary services is highly regarded.
- Relevant degree and finance related (e.g. CPA, CA or CFA) qualification preferred.
- Attention to detail and strong time management skills.
- Strong organisational awareness and stakeholder management skills.
- Ability to work collaboratively, build relationships with customers and across NAB.
- Possess a growth mindset and drive for continuous improvement.
- Known for integrity, intelligence and professional maturity.
- Lead by example within you peer group.
- Strong people leader skills, proven track record of supporting top quartile team engagement outcomes.
