Senior Associate, CME (Corporate)

The Role:

Reporting to the Director, CME (Corporate & Industrials), you’ll be part of a team that provides administrative and credit input to the Client Coverage team across all aspects of portfolio management and the client relationship.

Further, you’ll have an opportunity to build on your existing credit/analytical skills and client relationship skills, playing a key role in driving superior client outcomes and delivering world class client relationships.

As a Senior Associate, you will be responsible for:

  • Structuring transactions and preparing credit submission, employing financial modelling where required and making recommendations on transactions to credit;
  • Driving transactions forward whilst engaging multiple stakeholders including Client Coverage teams, Product Partners, Credit, Legal, Customers, and client support teams to achieve a seamless client experience;
  • Responsible for managing the ongoing monitoring of the risk profile and compliance requirements of a client portfolio; ensuring portfolio hygiene is maintained to a very high standard;
  • Conducting research and analysis to develop industry/sector expertise and knowledge;
  • Attending internal and external stakeholder meetings to support business outcomes whilst managing portfolios; and
  • Provide guidance/coaching to graduates, interns and associates where required.

What you will bring

  • Tertiary qualifications in Finance, Business or a related discipline
  • Previous banking experience in a similar role, ideally gained in a Corporate or Institutional Banking environment
  • Strong skills in credit, financial modelling, transaction structuring and documentation
  • Exceptional inter-personal skills, the ability to work effectively in a team environment and connect with clients and key internal stakeholders.
