In the role of Senior Business Analyst, you will join the Group Tax team that’s doubling down on keeping it simple and winning together.
Each day, you’ll go above and beyond to:
• Assist the Head of Tax by gathering information to respond to queries and information requests from revenue authorities and for addressing on-going administration requirements.
• Actively advocate NAB’s tax policies, frameworks and risk settings throughout the organisation, ensuring that key stakeholders have sufficient awareness of the policies and risk management processes.
• Execute the annual Tax Compliance business plan including individually allocated strategic initiatives.
• Contribute to the development of the Tax process improvement program, proactively identifying opportunities for reduction in complexity and cost.
• Operating in accordance with NAB's Tax Risk settings and adhering to Group Tax processes and procedures.
We’re looking for the best and brightest to deliver the best for our customers. You’ll need:
• Tax technical expertise - specialist GST expertise working in a chartered accounting firm or equivalent. Preferably with a finance background.
• Understanding of GST legislative and regulatory requirements.
• Excellent written and verbal communication skills as well as resilience with stakeholder management.
• Experience with analysis, problem solving and ability to transform complex financial and non-financial data into meaningful business insights.
• Experience in working with accounting and tax systems.
• Tertiary qualified (Commerce/Finance/Accounting), ideally working towards or completed CA/CPA.
