Associate BPB Finance

In this role, you will support the Head of Finance and other team members to provide commercial financial analysis and recommendations to improve business performance. You will be tasked with analysing data, driving insights and regular forecasting, and building trusted relationships with your business stakeholders. With your support you will drive simplification, align with the NAB Finance Strategy and look at opportunities to improve process efficiencies.

  • Work collaboratively with colleagues across B&PB Finance to leverage best practices and maximise efficiency while achieving outcomes.
  • You will be tasked to find the simple solutions and consistency in reporting and processes.

In the role of an Associate, you will join the B&PB Finance Team that’s doubling down on keeping it simple.

Each day, you’ll go above and beyond to:

  • Provide detailed financial analysis to enable the provision of commercial and financial advice on initiatives to the Business.
  • Assist to prepare and run financial models to drive business performance.
  • Prepare, analyse, and investigate financial reporting, including understanding of variances and drivers to plan to facilitate insights for the drivers of variances.
  • Assist to maintain strong balance sheet controls through the review of balance sheet reconciliations, including ensuring aged balances are cleared and reconciliation breaks are understood.
  • Maintain an understanding of group finance policy requirements and ensure compliance. You may be required to raise and support resolution of GRACE events.

We’re looking for the best and brightest to deliver the best for our customers. You’ll need:

  • Strong ability to synthesize data information from multiple sources and can translate this into key themes using effective communication.
  • Financial services or banking industry experience would be preferred, specifically in an analytical role.
  • Proficient in modelling and visualisation tools (e.g. Advanced Excel, HFM, PowerBI would be an advantage).
  • Excellent problem solving and presentation skills.
  • Enjoys working collaboratively and contributing to building positive relationships and culture within the team.
  • Relevant tertiary qualifications. CA/CPA qualified or is working towards completing is or equivalent.
