Senior Associate, Structured Finance Services

In this role, you will support the efficient execution of day-to-day activities to support and execute bespoke transactions originated by Group Treasury and the Corporate & Institutional Bank. Our team provide pre-transaction execution support and post execution management for structured finance transactions, specialising in securitisation. We provide fully integrated, end to end solutions for structured finance transactions.

In the role of a Senior Associate, you will join the CIB Specialised Lending Operations that’s doubling down making a tangible difference to customers while keeping it simple. 

Each day, you’ll go above and beyond to:

  • Prepare annual financial statements and reporting for managed structured finance transactions, including the financial audit.
  • Assist external auditors and the team to support annual external audit process.
  • Manage tax obligations for managed structured finance transactions, including income tax returns and GST returns.
  • Ad hoc initiatives such as process improvements and ensuring work complies with relevant obligations and financial control environment is maintained.
  • Engage with stakeholders and other Finance Teams in CIB, including Treasury, BNZ, Personal Bank, Group Tax and external advisors. 

We’re looking for the best and brightest to deliver the best for our customers. You’ll need:

  • Previous accounting and finance experience, including exposure to financial control and statutory reporting.
  • Relevant tertiary degree and is CA or CPA qualified.
  • Experience in Securitisation would be beneficial but not crucial.
  • Knowledge and understanding of Excel and/or Structured Query Language (SQL) is preferred.
  • Excellent communication skills and strong attention to detail.
