Senior Associate, Risk Intelligence

In the role of Senior Associate Financial Crime Risk Intelligence, you will join a team that’s doubling down on protecting our customers from financial threats, making a real difference in their day-to day lives.  

 

Each day, you’ll go above and beyond to: 

  • Contribute to high level decisions by identifying financial crime threats and risks and determine the implications to NAB and our customers. 

  • Provide strategic assessments and insights on the likelihood and impact of criminal exploitation of NAB products, channels and other aspects of the business. 

  • Perform complex analysis to assist in evaluating the effectiveness of controls in mitigating the identified financial crime risks, ensuring NAB is protecting our customers and community.  

  • Contribute to NAB meeting Australian and global statutory and regulatory obligations relating to the identification and mitigation of risk are met. 

  • Contribute to the strategic objectives of generating and communicating high-value actionable assessments of financial crime risk, including consideration of improvements for customers where possible. 

  • Build and maintain relationships across the NAB enterprise, with government agencies, financial institutions and other parties that support the development capability and governance initiatives for the Intelligence and Risk Assessment team. 

 

We’re looking for the best and brightest to deliver the best for our customers. You’ll need:   

  • Previous experience working in a risk, compliance or intelligence environment, preferably within financial services.   

  • Strong risk management and/or intelligence experience will be highly regarded.  

  • Exceptional communication skills with the ability to engage with a wide range of stakeholders.  

  • Strong analytical diagnostic skills with the ability to analyse and interpret multiple types of data.  

  • Understanding and awareness of financial crime typologies (methods) and red flag indicators (high risk scenarios).
