Senior Associate Consumer Finance

As a Senior Associate for Consumer Finance, you will provide commercial financial insights, and analysis to drive and improve business performance. This includes performance & budgeting & planning, and financial reporting/control.

In the role of Senior Associate, you will join the Finance team that’s doubling down on keeping it simple.
 
In this Senior Associate role, you will
• Assess, analyse, and investigate aspects of financial reporting of the Division’s Finance Performance (Lending volumes, Net Interest Margin, Fee incomes, credit impairment charges, expenses), including understanding of variances to Business plan /forecast to ensure accurate reporting and the production of business financial insight for potential drivers of variances.
• Provide detailed financial analysis to enable the provision of commercial and financial advice, on both strategic and operational initiatives to the business. 
• Maintain strong balance sheet control and understanding through the review and sign off balance sheet reconciliations including ensuring aged balances are cleared and reconciliation breaks are clearly understood.
• Support change initiatives by managing all financial impacts including validating/restatement of numbers, mapping of ledger and insight and taking actions to reduce key data gaps.
• Run planning models to ensure business inputs and group assumptions are reflected.
• Maintain a strong financial control environment for subsidiaries as required including supporting HFM requirements and active involvement in subsidiary control uplift initiatives.
• Work directly in supporting business and senior stakeholders.
 
What you’ll bring
• Sound numerical, financial analysis and modelling skills.
• Inquisitive mindset and a desire to build on commercial acumen.
• Ability to manage competing priorities and tight deadlines.
• Experience and familiarity with advanced excel functions (i.e. Powerquery) and visualisation tools (i.e. think-cell) an advantage.
• Ability to review complex data and analyse information from multiple sources.
• Degree qualified, ideally CA or CPA qualification (or equivalent) an advantage.
• Substantial experience in Finance/Financial Services.
