Senior Product Designer, Merchant Services

  • Shape the future of payment experiences for merchant businesses across a range of industries, as part of the Business Banking Experience team within NAB Design.
  • Shape key customer experiences by exploring conceptual designs, competitive landscapes, and market opportunities to achieve product market fit.
  • Work closely with product, engineering and marketing leadership to help define future value propositions and create desirable experiences that achieve product-market fit.

In the role of Senior Product Designer, you will join the Business Everyday Banking Merchant Services team that’s doubling down on customer obsession

Each day, you’ll go above and beyond to:

  • Lead and own design projects focusing on dashboard experience
  • Conduct user/customer research and gather user feedback to inform design decisions
  • Create prototypes to communicate, test and validate design concepts. Use feedback to refine designs and improve usability.
  • Apply the principles of inclusive design to create products and services that are accessible by everyone.
  • Contribute to, use and evolve the nab design system to maintain consistency and efficiency for nab digital assets.
  • Communicate, present and visualise design insights, ideas and concepts to stakeholders and partners, providing user centred insights to support design decisions.
  • Act as a coach to more junior team members, providing guidance, sharing best practice and helping to advance their skills.

We’re looking for the best and brightest to deliver the best for our customers. You’ll need:

  • Proven senior level experience working as a product designer or UX/UI designer
  • Experience within a finance or service industries
  • Excellent working knowledge of the design process, experience design methodologies and principles
  • Demonstrated experience working in Agile, using agile tools & methods
  • Strong ability to independently perform the essential capabilities required in this role
  • Proven experience using design processes and tools to digitise experiences
  • Extensive experience in visual design and user interactions
