In the role of an Associate – High Value Payments, you will report to Lead High Value Payments. Join the Payment Operations team in High Value Payments that’s doubling down on owning it.

Each day, you’ll go above and beyond to:

  • Responsible for managing & settling international & domestic payments through correspondent banking relationship as well in AUD market. Handling the initiation, execution, and reconciliation of payments, both incoming and outgoing.
  • Ensure adherence to relevant regulations and internal policies, mitigating potential risks associated with the transactions, and managing potential fraud.
  • To process the allocated workload within the area of operation, efficiently, accurately and within the timescales and standards set out in service level agreements, service standards and performance targets, utilising systems/equipment as required, to provide internal and external customers with a high-quality service.
  • To bring to the attention of the Team Leader or Operations Manager any problems or issues identified in the course of the job holder's work that might impact on the level and quality of service provided, to enable corrective action to be taken and carry out quality control and necessary checks.
  • To liaise with internal and external stakeholders ensuring that instructions, inquiries and queries, are acted on efficiently and effectively, seeking to always maintain effective working relationships.
  • To deal with production of more complex, standard and ad-hoc reports and statistical information in relation to the area of operation for use by senior colleagues or internal customers and carrying out any other administrative duties as required to ensure the effective operation of the unit, such as filing, maintenance of records, mail, basic maintenance of systems and equipment etc.

  • Proven experience in Markets, Payments, or Operations.  
  • Responsibility for managing & settling international & domestic payments through correspondent banking relationship as well in AUD market. Exposure to a few products desirable.
  • To handle the initiation, execution, and reconciliation of payments, both incoming and outgoing.
  • To ensure adherence to relevant regulations and internal policies, mitigating potential risks associated with the transactions, and managing potential fraud. 
  • Be responsible for managing and ensuring the completion of daily processes and work
  • To oversees day to day operations where one or more very skilled clerks are involved
  • Authorises payments & decides alternate procedural actions within systems guidelines
