Senior Associate, Structured Product

Each day, you’ll go above and beyond to: 

  • As part of the Structured Product (SP) team, work on bespoke products to help clients manage financial risk or gain desired asset exposure, each with unique characteristics and challenges
  • Support product development and implementation as well as working on specific client transactions
  • Using Python and Excel (or similar), work with the broader Trading and Sales teams to deliver analytical tools to help client risk management, inform hedging strategies and analyse product viability
  • Focus on structuring and pricing outcomes, risk management, capital, CVA, FVA and contingent liquidity risk. You will be expected to become comfortable with these concepts and be able to think about how variations to trades will impact these metrics
  • Assist in the lifecycle management of SP trades, including market data updates, trade maintenance, and monitoring and reporting of risks
  • Work with Sales, Trading, Quant and eTrading, Risk, Legal and other key stakeholders to support new transactions and new product implementation, specifically by contributing analysis for approvals and supporting information requests
  • Contribute to discussions with the wider Sales and Trading teams to develop ideas and tailored deal structures to take to clients.

We’re looking for the best and brightest to deliver the best for our customers. You’ll need:  

  • The ability to think through complex problems, undertake quantitative analysis and to communicate solutions in a straightforward manner
  • Coding experience is desired, preferably in Python
  • The ability to create mathematical models for quantitative analysis, such as simulating hedge effectiveness or analysing clients’ risk strategies
  • The ability to engage proactively with stakeholders across Markets and other key areas
  • Experience in banking/finance, preferably in Markets or other areas in C&IB
