Senior Product Designer, Customer Experience

  • Enhance NAB’s ability to make informed, human-centred decisions by optimising how we use data in communication, reporting and storytelling. 
  • Create visually engaging, data-driven narratives across digital, print, and environmental media; developing dashboards and reports to help colleagues identify and understand insights; 
  • Craft compelling narratives for the Executive Leadership Group; and enabling others to improve human-centred communication with data at scale through the creation of guidelines, playbooks, and kits.

As a Senior Product Designer on the Enterprise Customer Experience Team, you'll enhance NAB's enterprise operating system for customer engagement. 

Each day, you’ll go above and beyond to: 

  • Lead and own design projects end to end, including defining objectives, shaping project scope, and aligning with business goals whilst following the Design Ways of Working. 

  • Conduct user/customer research, usability testing, and gather user feedback to inform design decisions. 

  • Create interactive prototypes to communicate, test and validate design concepts. Use feedback to refine designs and improve usability. 

  • Ensure designs align with established design guidelines and standards to maintain a high standard of design quality, consistency, and usability throughout projects.  

  • Apply the principles of inclusive design to create products and services that are accessible by everyone. 

  • Contribute to, use and evolve the nab design system to maintain consistency and efficiency for nab digital assets. 

  • Collaborate with cross-functional teams and stakeholders to define and translate requirements into design concepts. Gather input and feedback on design concepts and iterate accordingly.  

  • Act as a coach to more junior team members, providing guidance, sharing best practice and helping to advance their skills. 

We’re looking for the best and brightest to deliver the best for our customers. You’ll need:  

  • Extensive experience working as a product designer or UX/UI designer

  • Demonstrated experience working in a data driven environment, ideally with proven data visualisation experience
  • Experience within a finance or service industries 

  • Excellent working knowledge of the design process, experience design methodologies and principles 

  • Demonstrated experience working in Agile, using agile tools & methods 

  • Strong ability to independently perform the essential capabilities required in this role 

  • Proven experience using design processes and tools to digitise experiences 

  • Extensive experience in visual design and user interactions
