Senior Analyst, Fraud Prevention & Detection

As the Senior Analyst, Fraud Prevention & Detection, you will join the Integrated System of Defence team that’s doubling down on protecting the community and our customers.   

 

Each day, you’ll go above and beyond to:  

  • Be responsible for improvement in prevention & detection strategies to meet and exceed our annual targets for loss, customer experience and detection performance. 

  • Identify and manage fraud risks. 

  • Governance ownership and accountability for fraud risks, controls, models and audit items.  

  • Ensure all work is performed in accordance with the requirements of the health & safety policies procedures & legislation. 

  • Provide professional and ethical behaviour in your actions by ensuring compliance with bank standards, internal operating policies and procedures. 

  • Contribute to the delivery of goals in-line with the Group Investigations and Fraud strategy. 

 

We’re looking for the best and brightest to deliver the best for our customers. You’ll need:  

  • Previous experience in a data analytics role preferred, experience in Financial Crime, Fraud or Risk will be highly regarded.  

  • Previous experience in business rule writing within the finance industry, ideally with Java development experience. 

  • Strong knowledge of data management, data modelling, data strategies and/or sound technical experience with the ability to explore the use of large amounts of data (structured and unstructured).  

  • Proven experience in working with data to translate quantitative and qualitative information to achieve outcomes.  

  • Exceptional communication skills with the ability to confidently express ideas, findings or concerns.
