Associate Director – Customer Performance Insights Specialist

As an Associate Director within Corporate and Institutional Bank (CIB) Finance, Change and Enablement team, you will support the Head of Change in executing against a portfolio of priorities centered on delivering better outcomes for our customers and colleagues.

In the role of an Associate Director, you will join our Finance, Change and Enablement Team that’s doubling down on keeping it simple. 

Each day, you’ll go above and beyond to: 

  • Analyse complex financial and operational data to uncover insights that drive customer performance improvements.
  • Gather, document, and translate business requirement into clear user stories and functional specifications.
  • Collaborate with data engineers, and analysts to ensure data models and pipelines meet Finance and business needs.
  • Validate data quality, reconcile results with source systems and trouble shoot issues across multiple data sources
  • Support the creation of intuitive dashboards and reports that enable forward-looking customer performance insights.
  • Facilitate workshops, sprint planning, and backlog prioritisation with stakeholders and project team.
  • Identify process and data gaps, propose innovative solutions using best practice in data and analytics.
  • Act as liaison between bankers, finance and technical teams to ensure solution alignment with finance objectives.
  • Direct the identification, monitoring, reporting and escalation of risks and issues.

We’re looking for the best and brightest to deliver the best for our customers. You’ll need:  

  • In-depth proven experience in a finance business analyst, finance data analyst or similar role within Finance Services, Consulting or Corporate Finance.
  • Degree qualified in Finance or Risk discipline CA or CPA qualification (or equivalent) is preferred but not essential.
  • Data and Analytics: Strong understanding of data warehousing concepts, data modelling and experience within data platforms (data lake, Lakehouse, or cloud-based – e.g. Data bricks).
  • Technical Skills: Proficiency with SQL and BI/reporting (e.g. Power BI).
  • Financial Knowledge: Solid grounding in financial statements, financial concepts, business KPI’s and performance measures.
  • Problem Solving: Strong analytical skills with ability to translate complex data into actional insights.
  • Influencing: Strong inter-personal skills to develop relationships within a variety of stakeholders across Finance, and influence stakeholders to drive an improvement in the quality of reporting.
  • Agile: Strong approach to analysis & problem solving – able to source and use relevant information (internal and external) to identify problems and offer sustainable solutions.
