Head of Audit - Model Risk
As the Head of Audit, Model Risk, you will bring your strong quantitative financial modelling expertise to deliver audit insights and advice to Audit Executives, Senior Management through to the Board Risk and Board Audit committees.
- A key leadership role for the Audit team, setting Audit’s vision, innovating to deliver assurance that is best in market.
- Lead a team of 3 Audit Manager, financial math experts to deliver high quality model risk assurance.
- Be a valued partner to the business, develop industry alliances and is provide expertise and knowledge that influences key business decisions.

As a Head of, you will join the Internal Audit team that’s focused on owning it.
In this Head of role, you will:
- Build and maintain strong relationships with industry peers, global counterparts and internal stakeholders to maintain knowledge of emerging risks and best practice.
- Utilise your data science expertise to gather model risk insights and share best practices with Senior Stakeholders and the Board.
- Represent Audit in first line risk forums/committees.
- Contribute to strategic assurance initiatives to ensure Audit is delivering assurance that is best in market, integrating AI, automation, data analytics, and continuous monitoring to deliver scalable, risk-focused audits.
- Lead, coach and mentor the portfolio audit team, foster technical capability development, innovation, and a high-performance culture.
What you will bring
- Expert quantitative and/or actuarial knowledge and experience.
- Financial Mathematics and / or data science degree and relevant post graduate qualifications.
- Excellent verbal and written communication skills to clearly convey expectations and influence improved outcomes.
- Ability to distil and communicate audit insights.
- Proven track record in managing high performing teams and managing complex change.
- Significant breadth of leadership, stakeholder management and influencing experience.
